Fetus as Passive Smoker
Smoking in pregnant women is definitely harmful to the health of the fetus:

1.	Perinatal mortality (stillbirths and early neonatal deaths) is increased by approximately one-third in babies of smokers
2.	Chances of Pre-term delivery is double in pregnant smokers.

3.	Infants are lighter by an average of 200 grams, shorter by 1cm, and have smaller head circumference by 0.3cm.
4.	Babies of pregnant smokers are twice more likely to develop respiratory diseases (bronchitis, pneumonial).
5.	Some studies showed that carcinogenic substances from tobacco smoke might pass through the placenta and are transferred to the fetus.
