Usually between 48 and 55 years of age, the function of ovary reduces. The oestrogen level decreases and the period stops. Some women would have discomforts e.g. hot flushes, night sweats, palpitations and dizziness. Hormonal therapy is a way to lessen the above conditions.
Who should use?
	Early menopause (before 40 years of age)
	Irritable perimenopausal symptoms
	Family history of osteoporosis

Conditions not suitable for HRT
	Allergy to HRT
	Undiagnosed abnormal vaginal bleeding
	History of thromboembolic disorders
	Existing hepatitis
	Breast or uterine cancers
