Antenatal service

A comprehensive antenatal shared-care programme is provided to pregnant women, in collaboration with the Obstetric Department of hospitals under theHospital Authority (HA), to monitor the whole pregnancy and delivery process. To ensure the continuity of quality care, antenatal service clustering between Maternal and Child Health Centres (MCHCs) and hospitals under the HA of the same district is provided.. Pregnant women should attend the MCHC having shared antenatal care with the hospital they plan to deliver.

Note: Maternal and Child Health Centres only accept registration of pregnant women who will deliver in the designated shared care hospitals under the Hospital Authority (HA).

Non local expectant mothers must have their first antenatal service registration done in the hospital Please refer to the details on the webpage of Hospital Authority.

Registration procedure in MCHC

Pregnant women must attend the MCHC for antenatal service within the designated appointment time. Please refer to the details of appointment booking of your preferred MCHC.

Documents / Forms to bring along	Hong Kong Identity Card (For those without Hong Kong Identity Card, please bring along valid travel document, spouse's identity document and marriage document [copies are acceptable] ) Result of pregnancy tests (for first visit only) MCHC Antenatal Registration Card (for follow-up visit only) Antenatal record (if given on last visit) Antenatal Service - First Registration Form Client should also bring along a urine sample when attending. (Note on collection of urine sample: Drink some water but do not eat in the morning. Discard the first e urine sample and only collect the midstream urine from the second urine sample. Note: Pregnant women should bring their residential proof if they plan to deliver in Queen Mary Hospital or Prince of Wales Hospital or Princess Margaret Hospital. For non local expectant mothers, please bring the Certificate on Confirmed Antenatal and Delivery Booking issued by the Hospital Authority
Antenatal check up in First registration	Includes obstetric, personal and family medical history, physical and gynaecological examination if necessary, urine testing for sugar and protein, antenatal blood tests etc.
