Postnatal Service
Postnatal mothers are provided with health assessment, physical checkups, individual counselling and health advice.
The Service Includes:
- Comprehensive history taking and assessment
- Past medical and obstetric history
- Child care issues
- Screening for postnatal depression
- Physical check-up
- Body weight, height and blood pressure measurement
- General physical examination, including speculum examination if indicated
- Cervical screening to suitable clients Note
- Individual counselling
- Help and support to all mothers to adapt to life changes, in particular, to provide counselling for mothers with postnatal mood problems
- Advice on family planning
- Provision of appropriate contraceptive methods if required Note
- Support for lactating mothers
- Breastfeeding coaching and support
- Prescription of multiple micronutrient supplement
