Since 1 January 2007, the office hours of the Family Health Service of the Department of Health (including Maternal & Child Health Centres and Woman Health Centres) has been changed. The new opening hours are: 9 am to 1 pm & 2 pm to 5:30 pm from Monday to Friday; 9 am to 12 noon on the 2nd & 4th non - public holiday Saturdays of each month.

Some part-time centres have different operation time and each centre has different service sessions. The registration time of all Maternel & Child Health Centres (except Cheung Chau, Mui Wo & some part-time centres) is 9 am to 12:30 pm & 2 pm to 5 pm from Monday to Friday; 9 am to 11:30 am on the 2^nd & 4^th non-public Holiday Saturdays of each month.

Since 2 October 2003, all MCHCs except some part-time centres have started appointment booking for child health services. To ensure that newborn babies with problems such as neonatal jaundice and breastfeeding problems are seen without delay, please make prior appointment with the preferred MCHC, either in person during child health session, or by phone.
